Faerie books I think you should read

During a month dedicated to fae and faerie, it should be obvious why I wrote this post for you. Over the years I've read many faerie-related books and in this post, I will recommend you some faerie books to read. Some of these books are still on my tbr, but because I've heard positive things about them, I still included them to make the list a little longer. So, open up your Goodreads and let's get started!

Wings series by Aprilynne Pike
I've read the first two books of this series when I was 11, I think. I did know much about fantasy back then, but I really liked these books. My library didn't have the newer books in the series which is why I only read the first two. They are still on my re-read tbr though!
I remember the first book being about a girl who discovers that she is a faerie and her life during this change. But click this link to visit the Goodreads page.

The Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa
Although I remember like Pike's book a lot, I fell absolutely in love with Julie Kagawa's series when I was a teenager. I just reviewed/talked about the first book of the series: The Iron King. But there are many more books written in this world.
This was my first encounter with fae (or fey) not so much with faeries, and I loved these beings!

Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr
These paranormal books follow Aislinn. Aislinn is able to see fairies despite their glamour and tries to live with this in secret. Of this series, I read the first two books which I really enjoyed, but I haven't read the other books in the series! For these books, you can expect some romance and fantasy set in our world!

If anyone is capable of writing fae, it is Maas. How she created these fae as powerful and immortal is just amazing. Currently, I'm rereading (and reviewing) her entire series because her newest book about Nesta will be published NEXT WEEK AAHH. Be for real though, if you have only a little knowledge of books about faeries, you should know this series. If you don't, well, what are you doing here, go read these books!

Crescent City by Sarah J. Maas
This year, the second book of the Cresent City series will be published. Bryce, half fae, lives a normal life until her best friend gets murdered (which is actually hard-breaking). Together with Hunt, an angel, she tries to find out who is to blame. Bryce is definitely a spicy character, who also deals with a lot of trauma. Even though it is a thick book, I devoured it in a few days. I cannot wait for book two and really recommend this one to you!

The Folk of the Air series by Holly Black
While it took me a little while to get into Black's first novel of this series The Cruel Prince, I quickly fell in love after! The second book completely blew me away and the last was a good conclusion to the series. In December, I reviewed the extra novella focused on Cardan and filled with incredible illustrations. This series follows Jude, a mortal girl that grows up in a faerie world. Her character is amazing and I loved every single plot-twist.

An Enchantment of Ravens by Magaret Rogerson
Instead of a series, this is a standalone YA fantasy novel, focused on faerie or Folk. At the start of the month, I reviewed this book. I really recommend it as a quick but fun read. I am completely in love with Rook, who is actually the cutest and I loved Rogerson's take on faeries or Folk. Definitely give this book a read!

The Awakening by Nora Roberts
Currently, I'm reading this book and I really enjoy it so far! This is my first Nora Roberts book, and I love how modern it is. I can see myself as Breen, even though she is a little older than me. I just got to the part where things are about to change, so we will see what happens. Hopefully, I can review it this month!

Another standalone novel, which I (sadly) have not read yet! But it is very popular on Bookstagram and recommended for fans of ACOTAR. Click this link to find it on Goodreads!

I think that I will leave it here since this list is pretty long already. I hope that there was something new for you here to add to your tbr! Thank you for reading!

With love,

Julia
